Armored Support: Scorpius Missile Tank Descent’s Guardian

The Scorpius Missile Tank Descent’s Guardian acquired its designation following its first recorded engagement, during which it was committed to the defense of a crippled Thunderhawk gunship brought down behind contested lines. Establishing a firing position overlooking the wreckage, the vehicle maintained a sustained bombardment of approaching enemy formations until the surviving passengers and crew could be evacuated. Although the Thunderhawk’s pilots perished in the crash, all other personnel were successfully recovered. The tank was subsequently renamed by its crew in recognition of the action, and continued to serve with distinction throughout the Shadow Crusade.

Armored Support: Scorpius Missile Calth’s Silence

The Scorpius Missile Tank Calth’s Silence received its designation in remembrance of the devastation inflicted upon Calth’s southern hemisphere during the Word Bearers’ betrayal. Its name was intended to commemorate not the bombardment itself, but the desolation that followed, when entire population centers and military installations were reduced to silence.
