The Knight Champion Lance Illimitée (Limitless Lancer) is a modified Cerastus Lancer intended for duels against other Knight-class engines. Its ion gauntlet shield is replaced by a solid adamantium shield of exceptional durability, though its weight requires additional servo-motors and hydraulics within the arm assembly. The standard integral shock lance is likewise replaced by a conventional shafted weapon wielded by a power gauntlet. This arrangement permits greater freedom of movement and allows the gauntlet itself to be used in close combat, but demands considerable skill from its Scion. The Knight Champion’s machine-spirit is strongly bound to codes of honor and formal combat, traits often reflected in those who bond with it.
Scioness Olivia “Olive” Ismene
The middle of three sisters, Olivia Ismene of House Beaumaris rose to prominence in the Knightly dueling circuits, earning fame and respect through a long chain of victories in the arena. Her growing reputation brought her into conflict with older and more politically established parties within the House. Unable to defeat her openly, they have begun to use underhanded methods to damage her reputation and honor in the hope of forcing her from the House as a Freeblade. So far these efforts have failed, though the pressure has placed considerable strain on Olivia.
